Service

getmyenv stores encrypted environment secrets and helps you load them into apps that read native environment variables. By creating an account or using the CLI against our API, you agree to these terms.

Using the website may include site analytics described in Privacy.

Your account

You are responsible for access to your account, Vault password, CLI tokens, optional MFA device, and trusted machines. Do not share tokens or vault credentials you want to keep private.

We cannot recover your Vault password. If you lose it, you cannot decrypt existing ciphertext without a backup you already made.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for lawful purposes only.
• Do not attempt to access other users' projects or break authentication or encryption controls.
• Do not abuse the API (including scraping or automated attacks).

Your content

You retain ownership of your secrets and project data. You grant us permission to store and process ciphertext and metadata as needed to provide the service. See the Privacy page for what we store.

Revoke and expire

Revoking or expiring a secret in getmyenv means we stop providing it. That does not revoke or invalidate the credential at a third-party provider.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available. We do not guarantee unbroken uptime. Features may change as the product develops.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as-is. We are not liable for loss of secrets, downtime, or misuse of credentials on your machines or in your applications after secrets are loaded into a process.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page is the latest revision.
